Hi
I I’ve just spent 3 hours trying to install it on my laptop but it seems there is something wrong with the iso? It either gives me a black screen after I choose install and then goes to my own OS or it gives grub errors. Tried 2 different USB sticks and 3 different bootable USB maker applications. Anyone else having problems?
What tool did you use to burn the iso? Some distros are picky with the flash drive creation. Some don’t like Ventoy either.
What hardware?
I tried it with gnome-multi-writer, Rufus and Belena Etcher. I used a 4gb usb stick and then a 8gb usb stick. I tried installing it on a HP Elitebook 8470P (14 year old laptop)
does it meet the hardware requirements and have v2? what exact hardware?
What exactly is the grub error?
These are the specs:
I dont see a an uefi folder here does that mean its legacy?
I only got that 1 time after trying with a different bootble usb maker it just showed a black screen and then went to my own os
Unfortunately, stillOS 10.1 still requires x86_64_v3, which your CPU does not support. Soon, there will be a stillOS Lite that does support x86_64_v2, which is supported on your CPU. Stay tuned for that.
